there are some contributions in Ways to Contribute section under that page
the user don't even know any English.
The problem there is that they would be producing a localised screenshot, which can't be used as an update to an English one. I can see the value, though, in having some mechanism for getting localised updates. Perhaps one solution might be to include a paragraph stating that if localised screenshots are made they can be uploaded, but the name of the screenshot (preferrably a link to it) must be sent to the language Team Leader. What do you think?
Another possibility is to say that the update must have the same name as the original one, overwriting it. I'd still want the Team Leaders to know that it happened.
If we can create a system for this I'd have no objection to making Tasks_and_Tools, Update_an_Image and Create_a_Screenshot translatable.
Oh, probably I know what you mean. Your concern is that a localized screenshot will be updated to override the English one. While personally I don't think that's a problem, we can make it appear in the guidelines or ImageUpdate page. That's why guidelines exist here...
Since userbase is also wiki-alike. We may take a look at successful Wikipedia's story: they have a "be bold" page. Also, as KDE UserBase:About said, "UserBase is .... and editable by any registered user."
anyways, it makes more sense that there is a translation of "Create a screenshot" page.
OK, you've convinced me. Give me a day or two to think about what changes we need to make to the affected pages, then I'll mark them up. If you don't see any activity on this by mid-week, remind me.
Sorry, I've been busy. I'll get to it this weekend. Thanks for reminding me.
I've done some edits, which I hope will make the pages clearer. If you see any problems let me know, but I think you can translate now.
