We hadn't considered that. However, we are now assessing whether there are any practical difficulties (those pages linked from the footer aren't in the Main namespace). If there are no unsurmountable problems we'll do it.
happy to hear that. its world-user-friendly to those user whose primary language is not English . seems this page can be translated right now. so, do you guys plan to put Special:MyLanguage in the url at footer? More completely, I think it's good to test all links to make sure Special:MyLanguage is added to url.
I'm looking into what can be done with regard to the footer. Only the sysadmin can have access to that, I think, and I don't know how much is possible. As for testing all links, we are trying to ensure that pages get Special:myLanguage added when they are prepared for translation. There just isn't enough wo/man-power to do it any other way :-(
if man-power is not enough, I think we can automate that. I mean under the setting page, if a language other than English is set, when a user visit a page the system should automatically redirect to the page in the language which has been set.
Hopefully, it can be done by contacting the technical guys.
