Really ? The Dolphin "Find" has been dysfunctional here for eons !
I am not sure what you mean. I don't use it much. I see it is still present - are you saying it doesn't work?
yes, it never worked here for ~ 6 years. The "find" in dolphin also seems different from the real "KFind" which performs very well. I doubt it is the same codebase.
Could we have a discussion here on the talk page about what the page should say before changing anything. I note that some seasoned contributors have reverter a lot of your contributions. Your choice of words may come across as argumentative and seem to have create an impression that you are "spamming" this wiki.
I don't think that has been your intention; I believe your intentions are honest and I would like to help you avoid creating adverse reactions from others.
Well... is using the word "dysfunctional" now official "argumentative" SPAM lingo ? Can Claus pls. elaborate or give a quote as to what that other banned person (Firef) has done wrong ? I mean, this is not the famed Arch-Wiki is it ? It seems to me that those reverts by Yurchor were some rash action not necessarily conducive to an improvement of this wiki. Also bear in mind that those bans will potentially scare away new contributors, including myself actually. I will leave it there and postpone any further contributions by my side, although I found quite some outdated info here. Have a nice day.
Please read what I actually wrote!
Words such as "dysfunctional" will to many readers imply a depreciative value judgment, which is why I said, that they may come across as argumentative, and that to some Firef may create an impression of "spamming" the wiki. Words matter!
I was trying to engage in a conversation to help Firef but in the mean time someone else reacted just as I had thought might happen. I have checked the blocking action - is is only temporary, set to expire tomorrow, a short "cooling off" period. I hope is hasn't heated up things.
I am reverting the block so that Firef can edit again as of now.
Please keep in mind, that UserBase is an informative site. We provide information for users about how our software works. It is not an appropriate place for debate. The KDE community have other places for that, such as the forums and mailing lists.
