The Plasma Workspace este una din cheile KDE SC 4.x (de asemenea cunoscut ca "Pillars of KDE"), şi una din cele mai vizibile pentru utilizatori. The Plasma Workspace is one of the key technologies of KDE SC 4.x (also known as the "Pillars of KDE"), and one of the most visible to users. As Plasma Desktop treats the user interface differently than a traditional desktop, there may be confusion as to what the Plasma Desktop is, what it does, and how to perform common tasks.
Scopul acestui document este de a arăta cum să efectuezi sarcini comune în Plasma Desktop.Fiecare HowTo constă dintr-un topic şi o animaţie scurtă, la care se ajunge făcând click pe link.
Animaţiile sunt codate în formatul GIF şi pot fi astfel vizualizate în majoritatea browser-elor web comune fără nici un plug-in suplimentar instalat.Reţine faptul că animaţiile sunt deschise.
