Similar to Nero for A windows OS, k3b provides many options and ways to burn a CD, or DVD. Featuring simple GUI all a user needs to do for basic burning is click an option from Quickstart, Including Audio CD's, Data CD's as well as more complex DVD's The Application can also format your RW (re-writeable) Dvd's or Cd-Rw's
In shorter terms, If you ever put a blank CD in your KDE based computer planning to write data, This would help you make it easier.
