KMail is een email component van Kontact, de geïntegreerde persoonlijke informatie beheerder van KDE.

• Reading and writing of HTML mail.
• Ability to display plain text only from an HTML mail.

• An optional spam probability meter can be displayed

• Markeren van berichten om te helpen bij het sorteren en terugkrijgen van gegevens
• Ondersteund het beheren van verzendlijsten
• Kan tekst smilies vervangen met emoticons
• Toont de foto of avatar van de verzender, indien hij voorkomt in het adresboek
• Ondersteund X-Face (zwart-witte afbeeldingen in berichten)
• Compressie van bijlagen

Groupware

KMail ondersteund de Groupware functionaliteit. Je kunt uitnodigingen ontvangen van medewerkers en deze accepteren. Wanneer ze geaccepteerd zijn, worden ze op de kalender geplaatst. Je kunt de kalender bekijken door KOrganizer of Kontact te starten.

Where to Get

KMail is available in all major Linux distribution repositories, as tarballs, and soon a Flatpak version will also be available. Ancient versions were compatible with Windows, the Kontact team is looking for help to improve Windows support. For more information look at the Kontact download page.
