Deze tutorial laat zien wat u kunt doen met de Artistic Text Shape. Hoewel deze tutorial gemaakt is aan de hand van Karbon, is de Shape ook in andere KOffice-applicaties beschikbaar en zal deze daar op een vergelijkbare manier werken.

Tip

Als een docker niet zichtbaar is, kunt u naar het Settings -> Dockers menu gaan, of rechtsklikken op een docker titel, waar u de docker zochtbaar kan maken.

Eerste stappen met een text shape

Ga naar de Add shape docker, klik op het Artistic Text icoon en sleep het naar het canvas om een artistic text shape toe te voegen.

Nadat u de shape toegevoegd hebt, wilt u waarschijnlijk de tekst bewerken en iets interessanters laten zien. Om dit te doen moet u de artistic text shape tool activeren, door te dubbelklikken op de shape die u net gemaakt heeft of door in de toolbox te selecteren. Daarna kunt u de tekst in iets als dit veranderen.

Omdat u een flitsende tekst wilt, moet u ook het lettertype veranderen. Dit kunt u doen door de eigenschappen te veranderen in de shape properties docker, waar u het lettertype, de stijl en de Offset (die de positie van de tekst op een path shape kan veranderen) kunt instellen.

Path follower

This is still a very straight, flat text. Now we want a curvy text. To do this, we will need to create a path, for instance, using the Freehand Path Drawing Tool .

To associate the text with the curve, you need to activate the artistic text tool by double clicking on the text, or selecting .

Then, if you move the mouse on top of the curve you will see the cursor changing to a hand, you will need to click on the curve. In the Tool options docker, the Attach path icon is now enabled, and you need to click on it to attach the path. Using the offset in the Shape properties docker, you can adjust the text to get the following result:

You can detach the path by clicking on . You can translate, rotate and edit the text. If you change the curve, then the text will be updated.
