KBarCode is a program that allows you to generate a barcode from a number/character sequence you can determine.

First-time use

When you use it for the first time, first make sure you have mysql and kbarcode installed and started. E.g. with SUSE Linux you do this in a konsole:

yast -i mysql kbarcode
/etc/init.d/mysql start
kbarcode
