Kdenlive параметры проектов хранит .kdenlive файле (в XML формате), содержащем :
- target video and audio properties
- ссылки на все исходные материалы (и их облегченные "прокси" рабочие копии)
- расположение клипов на линии времени (Timeline), с примененными эффектами, переходами и всем необходимым для конечного результата
