Krita is een open source schilder- en tekenapplicatie

Krita is onderdeel van KOffice sinds versie 1.4. Krita bevat zowel makkelijke en leuke functies als guided painting (niet eerder was het zo makkelijk om een rechte lijn te airbrushen!) en high-end functies zoals ondersteuning voor 16 bit afbeeldingen, CMYK, L*a*b en zelfs OpenEXR HDR-afbeeldingen.

Focused on digital painting lines for concept art, comics, matte or texturing
Supports a variety of colorspaces such as RGB, CMYK, and L*a*b
Load and save to many popular image formats
A wide range of drawing and painting tools
Has vector layers that can contain rich, editable text and complex vector objects
Extensible through OpenShiva, Python or Ruby scripts
