KDE Neon je projekt KDE, který poskytuje poslední verze softwaru KDE, postavených na poslední LTS verzi Ubuntu. Existují dvě verze KDE Neon: Uživatelská edice (User Edition), která přichází s posledně vydanými verzemi softwaru KDE a Vývojářská edice (Developer Edition), která je založená na softwaru KDe před vydáním (pre-release). S Vývojářskou edicí se můžete rozhodnout, zda budete využívat stabilní, nebo nestabilní větve.

openSUSE již nenabízí živá CD jejich běžných distribucí. Nicméně existují živá CD založená na běžných distribucích s použitím nejnovějších verzí softwaru KDE:

openSUSE Argon je založen na openSuse Leap (stabilní distribuce) zatímco openSuse Krypton je založen na openSUSE Tumbleweed (rolling distribuce).
