These settings are often used to connect to Wi-Fi or Ethernet networks, but provides also a lot more features, like creating Wi-Fi hotspot, setup a mobile broadband connection (if hardware is compatible) and connect to different VPN services.  
Disse indstillinger bruges ofte til at forbinde til et Wi-Fi- eller Ethernet-netværk, men har også mange andre funktioner, som at oprette et Wi-Fi-hotspot, opsætte en mobil bredbåndsforbindelse (hvis hardwaren er kompatibel) og forbinde til forskellige VPN-tjenester.

This KCM use NetworkManager as backend, a tool developed by RedHat.
