Talk:Falkon

From KDE UserBase Wiki

I do not view https://www.falkon.org/ as a replacement for this wiki page. It is a great changelog, but I could not easily find information about installation and about enabling spell-checking.

The download page contains all the installation instructions, it's a straight duplicate. For the spelling I can't find anything need to see if there is any alternative documentation as it seems wierd to keep a page for just that.--Nvrwhere (talk) 18:53, 25 August 2023 (UTC)

This can probably be deleted (leaving a redirection to falcon.org). Any useful info should probably be moved there. Claus chr (talk) 06:41, 30 August 2023 (UTC)

Wiki Wednesday - we should have the spelling section added to falcon.org then agree redirect --Nvrwhere (talk) 16:41, 13 September 2023 (UTC)

This userbase is for users by users. Homepages are by creators and with their own ways to contribute. Thus a reason to have page here in any case. Duplication of content is another matter. Also this site is more stable than singural homepages. Those can easily disappear or lose content. So keep.--Usp (talk) 11:04, 22 January 2024 (UTC)

First Impressions

I am new to Kubuntu. When I opened Falkon for the first time and clicked "About Falkon", the first thing I saw was "Proposed for Deletion" in red.

I know this refers to the wiki page and not the app, but it is not a good first impression. Please consider either changing where About Falkon points to, or removing the deletion message from the wiki... --Sem (talk) 22:27, 7 March 2024 (UTC)

Good point, indeed. These "Proposed for Deletion" info boxes are meant to be dealt within a fairly short timespan. This one has lingered for too long, and is removed now. I left the "Proposed deletion" category tag, as this is used to help us remember pages that need attention. Claus chr (talk) 11:30, 8 March 2024 (UTC)
