• Anyone can contribute to UserBase, without registering an account. We do recommended that you create an account, as it has real advantages, as you can see on the Quick Start page. There you will also find help to register and log in.
• Be aware that your contribution will be governed by the licenses Gnu Free Document Licence and Creative Commons. Click on the images in the Navigation Panel to read the details. You are agreeing to your contribution being publicly available and that others can use that information on their own sites.
• Use the Talk page to communicate with other contributors or get help. Normally someone will get back to you within a day.

Способи участі

Оновлення даних

• Оновлення зображень, заміна застарілих зображень новими.
• Створення знімків вікон.
• Внесення змін до поточних даних, виправлення правопису, покращення описів, додавання нових подробиць.

Додавання нових сторінок

• Створення сторінки, способи використання програми, зауваження щодо нових понять та способів роботи.
• Створення підручника. Вам знадобляться знання з програми, а також певний зв’язок з її розробниками. Ми можемо вам допомогти.

Робота з перекладу

• Приготування сторінки для перекладу потребує більше терплячості, ніж уміння. Якщо у вас регулярно є трохи часу, ви дуже допоможете з виконанням цього завдання.
• Переклад сторінок. Вам знадобиться вільне знання мови, але для перекладу сторінок не потрібно бути професійним перекладачем. Переклад підручників є завданням особливої команди.
• Переклад за допомогою автономних інструментів. Вивчіть основи роботи з форматом Gettext та настанови з імпортування.
• Сторінка настанов з перетворення підручників UserBase у формат Docbook надасть вам основні дані щодо процедури, яку слід виконати з завершеним підручником.

Remember

It's important to be consistent, so here are some general rules:

• Take care with heading levels - we start at second level (Mediawiki uses top level for page-name), using "=="
• Make sure you refer frequently to this page and to typographical guidelines
• Check if all table cells have space after the pipe character. This rule conforms with traditional wiki formatting.
• Make application name formatting consistent (avoid using Amaroks, do use Amarok's).
• For screenshots and other images, .png format is preferred. The Upload page lists the file types that are acceptable. .
• Remove all non-printable characters from image names.

Hints and Tips

Some Preferences that will help -

• If you don't have [edit] links against the sections, open your My Preferences (in the Personal Tools section of the sidebar) then look for Editing and in the Advanced Options set Enable section editing via [edit] links
• While you are in those settings, enable Show preview on first edit - while you are editing you can glance at the original display for reference
• The default display is to show the preview first, with the edit box below. If you prefer the edit box at the top you can change that setting in the same place
