There is something wrong with this page... "Share your knowledgde" side bar is displayed at the bottom instead of residing at the right edge. Tested in firefox, rekonq, same result.

you cannot share knowledge anyway, because the login procedure crashes all the time. that side bar is pretty much a joke.

The side bar on Userbase? I have never experienced any crashes in the login procedure, nor have I ever heard of such problems. If there is a problem, please describe it in enough details that we can actually investigate the issue and file a bug report to mediawiki.

Can't you see the futility in such an endeavour? Yurchor will have folks banned before they could care to submit a bug report. That guy bans anyone for no reason. Scares everybody away. Hence the wiki looks like a lamentable, cobbled-together "thing".

No, I can't see the futility in reporting bugs - that is the only way to have them fixed. I have never experienced the problem, and I can't possibly do anything about a problem that I don't know anything about. Again, if you wish to complain about anything go ahead, but please be constructive - otherwise, what's the point?

Yurchor does not ban people left and right; in fact I can't recall any other instance of anyone being given a brief time-out by Yurchor or anyone else for years. You would only have been banned for a couple of days even if I haden't reverted the ban.

KDE is a community of people from all over the world working together to create great free software. We can only function effectively in an atmosphere of mutual good will. We have a code of conduct as a guide to how we can all contribute to make a healthy community.

You can disagree with decisions made by some of our developers all you like, but be fair! When you say, that a decision is "obviously wrong" or similar words to that effect, you are implying that the developers who made that decision are either incompetent or mischievous. If you think that this kind of hyperbole is increasing your chance of being heard you are wrong. If anything it will make some people think that you are a troll and make them ignore you.

I understand the it can be frustrating when your favorite software changes in a manner, that you don't like. We have all experienced that at one time or another, but you have to ask yourself: Do you want to be part of the problem or do you want to be part of the solution? When complaining about a problem be friendly, constructive and helpful and above all be respectful of the people who's hard work and dedication has given us all this great software.

I hope you will take time to read our code of conduct and think about how you can contribute to the community. Airing your complaints in a constructive manner is also a contribution, and one that is truly valued. I recommend the forums as a good way to get in touch with the community. You can also file a bug report/feature request or you can try to contact the developers directly on irc.

Neither Yurchor nor I ban anyone on a whim, but please understand that UserBase is not the proper place to discuss software issues - not even the talk pages! We have a lot of work to do on UserBase and not nearly enough time for it. There are limits to how much time we are willing to spend on code of conduct-issues.
