Great. I'll experiment a bit and let you know the results soon.

As to guides to the wiki - there is some (actually quite a lot) of material, which you can find on the Tasks and Tools page and the pages it links to. Unfortunately the material is somewhat disorganised; we are working on improving it so any feedback is welcome.

Hi Pfollas

It wasn't quite as simple as I had thought, but I have a solution now. When you want to move a page here is what you do:

  • Click on the red link to create the new page
  • Copy all of the contents of the KDevelop4 page and insert it into the new page
  • Change all occurrences of 'KDevelop4' and 'Kdevelop4' to 'KDevelop5'
  • Save and wait - please don't edit the new page yet

Now the new page needs to be entered into the translation system - that requires admin privileges. Just sit back and wait. Normally the new page will be handled the next day at the latest.

Before you start making any changes to the new page please check that the existing translations from the KDevelop4 page has been added to the new page. If I have missed the page feel free to contact me - I visit UserBase most days.

In order to discover this procedure I added the page Sessions and projects; it is ready to be edited. If you don't want to deal with this page right now, you may want to add the {{Construction}} template at the top of the page to notify readers, that the page is nor ready yet.

OK I will do it. Thanks.

Your instructions are

* Click on the red link to create the new page
* Copy all of the contents of the KDevelop4 page and insert it into the new page
* Change all occurrences of 'KDevelop4' and 'Kdevelop4' to 'KDevelop5'

(I have left the Kdevelop4 images files the same. I will do them later. right?)

* Save and wait - please don't edit the new page yet

(What do you mean here?? Just Save and publish or only Save?)

You have done exactly as I proposed :-). I shall now make your new page translatable and transfer the existing translations. Then you can edit the page further.

Edit: The deed is done - feel tree to edit!
