Farbprofile sind oftmals erhältlich von Herstellern solcher Farbgeräte wie Digitalkameras, Bildschirmen oder Druckern. In Oyranos wird ein ICC Profil mit dem Kalibrierzustand dieser Geräte verknüpft, um möglichst nahe an das Farbverhalten wärend der ICC Profilerzeugung zu gelangen.
