::Yes - three blips for bold, two for italic and five for bold+italic, before and after the required text.  In this case you used it for the whole of the table text.  It works exactly the same if you need to stress a single word. --[[User:Annew|annew]] 15:29, 12 January 2010 (UTC)

Why not put your personal information back, at the top of the page, then use '----' to separate it from your current work? (that inserts a horizontal line) --annew 12:59, January 2010 (UTC)

From the instructions, I got the impression that the entire page was better devoted to the text that was going to be moved. My experience elsewhere was that the username page was for bio, etc. I'll add it back. You can then show me how to move just the "real" part of the page.
Wireless connection for Kubuntu on Asus is dying after a few minutes. It has been good with Ubuntu (same 9.10 vintage). Have been spending time running network cable around the room so I can work while watching the NFL Bengals/Jets playoff game and trying to work on this project.
The User page is yours, to use as you wish. Personally I like to see some bio, but I also find it useful as a scratchpad. The horizontal line divider makes that perfectly feasible.
I've made a small edit on your user page, to show you how to force the ToC to a part of the page that you prefer. Now your bio shows at the top - and more strongly, I think, and the TOC comes after the divider, but it's still picking up your bio headings. As long as you use the mediawiki headings this will happen. Your choices are to
  • not use the heading symbol, just using bold - destroying the look of the page
  • ignore the problem - as when you move the page you are creating the TOC won't be seeing it. In fact, you won't actually need the TOC at all when you move the page unless you want it in a place other than the default - which is sometimes useful. We can deal with that later, if it becomes a problem. --annew 12:25, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Okay, I think the first draft of the Printer Configuration tool is ready for judgement. --Algot 17:24, 11 January 2010 (EST)

Couple of final questions.

  1. In the "I choose" paragraph which is in an unordered list item, the text is being full justified. I don't see where that is happening.
I've seen this happen sometimes, without being able to explain it. However, I've viewed your page in Konqueror, Arora. Chromium, and now Firefox, and it wasn't fully-justified in any of those. Which browser were you using?
