| link of kde3 icon | 3 | 15:17, 22 April 2011 |
the kde3 icon should link to Category:KDE3 rather than Category:KDE_3.
Corrected in the template. However, the author of the template intended it to automatically enter the page into the KDE 3 category. Clearly it wasn't/isn't working, as there were no pages in the category KDE_3. We need to look at this - either to correct the behaviour or to remove the implication that it will be automatic.
Ok, I had a look at the template. I removed the imagemap syntax and replaced it with common Image syntax. Furthermore I added the category "KDE3" to the template explicitly. But: this category is hidden so that it will not be displayed at the bottom of the article - even if you add the category in the article once more.
Is it intended, that the KDE3 category is hidden?
Yes, it's intended. The icon gives the necessary information, but the category mark was intended to be administrative. In time it will be necessary to remove the KDE3-only applications. This category mark will make it easy to find them and assess whether they should go, or the KDE 3 information simply be removed from the page.
