In all cases, it would be more useful for "users" of Kopete, for Kopete version numbers to be used, rather than KDE version numbers. It is entirely possible it is being run from a non-KDE window manager. The KDE version number is therefore irrelevant to the user task (look up documentation for my current version of Kopete). If the development team feel strongly that Kopete development is lock-stepped to KDE development, and that users will only upgrade their versions ofKopete in the context of upgrading their KDE Window Manager, and so consequently feel that it really is the KDE version number that determines the abilities of the user's version of Kopete rather than the Kopete version number, the dialogue box should additionally provide the KDE version number.
