The next item in the vertical row on the left is <menuchoice>Chat Window</menuchoice>. The first tab in there, <menuchoice>Style</menuchoice>, can be used to set another appearance than the default one. You can also install your own styles or download new ones from the Internet by clicking on <menuchoice>Get New...</menuchoice>. When you type in an [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emoticon Emoticon]
during a conversation, '''Kopete''' will convert it into a graphical emoticon by default. To disable this feature or to use another set of emoticons go to <menuchoice>Emoticons</menuchoice>. The last tab, <menuchoice>Colors & Fonts</menuchoice> is again self-explanatory and configures these preferences of your chat window.

El siguiente elemento de la fila vertical de la izquierda es Ventana de charla. La primera pestaña, Estilo, puede ser usada para establecer una apariencia distinta de la predeterminada. También puedes instalar tus propios estilos o descargar nuevos desde Internet haciendo clic en Conseguir nuevo.... Cuando teclees un emoticono durante una conversación, Kopete lo convertirá en un emoticono gráfico predeterminado. Para desactivar esta característica o usar otro conjunto de emoticonos ve a Emoticonos. La última pestaña, Colores y tipos de letra vuelve a explicarse por si misma y cambia esas preferencias de tu ventana de charla.
