Message definition (Digikam/Levels Adjust)

The key element in the <menuchoice>Levels Adjust</menuchoice> pane is the histogram with the black point and white point sliders. Simply put, the black point slider controls shadows, while the white point slider controls highlights. So to darken shadow areas in the photo, move the black point slider to the right. Need to boost highlights? Move the white point slider to the left.

Ключовим об’єктом на панелі Налаштування рівнів є гістограма з повзунками точки чорного і точки білого кольорів. Якщо пояснювати просто, за допомогою повзунка точки чорного можна керувати затіненими ділянками, а за допомогою повзунка точки білого — підсвіченими ділянками. Отже, щоб зробити затінені області на зображенні темнішими, пересуньте повзунок точки чорного праворуч. Потрібно підсилити підсвічування? Пересуньте повзунок точки білого ліворуч.
