Message definition (Tutorials/KDE3 to KDE SC 4)

For functionality on a cleaner desktop, try using ''Desktop'' type, with a small folderview in the corner of your screen (it does scroll) to your data directories. A nice touch is that if you hover over a folder it does descend the directory tree, so you can open a file without needing to go through a file manager. {{Note|1=In 4.4 you have to click the up-arrow to descend the tree.}}

Per obtenir funcionalitat en un escriptori net, mireu d'usar el tipus Desktop, amb una petita vista de carpeta a la cantonada de la pantalla (ho fa el desplaçament) als directoris de les vostres dades. Un bon detall és que si passeu el ratolí per sobre d'una carpeta farà descendir la jerarquia, de manera que podeu obrir un fitxer sense necessitat de passar per un gestor de fitxers.
