Message definition (History of KDE)

To tackle this problem, the [http://www.kde.org/whatiskde/kdefreeqtfoundation.php KDE Free Qt Foundation] was founded by the KDE project and Trolltech. This foundation ensured the continued availability of Qt as a free software development framework. Namely, should Trolltech no longer make Qt available for free software, the currently released version will be re-released under the BSD style license - a license similar in nature but less restrictive than the GPL or LGPL.

Pour résoudre ce problème, la Fondation KDE Free Qt a été créée par le projet KDE et Trolltech. Cette fondation a assuré la disponibilité continue de Qt comme framework de développement du logiciel libre. De fait, si Trolltech ne rendait plus Qt disponible en tant que logiciel libre, la version actuellement en utilisation serait re-publiée sous une licence de type BSD (une licence similaire en nature mais moins restrictive que la GPL ou la LGPL).
