Message definition (KMail/Courses Information Openpgp)

KMail contains extensive [[Special:myLanguage/KMail/PGP_MIME|support for the cryptography standard OpenPGP]] (encryption and signatures); KDE even contains a dedicated application for managing OpenPGP keys and using [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenPGP OpenPGP] outside emails: [[Special:myLanguage/KGpg|KGpg]]. OpenPGP is free (both as in free beer and as in free speech) and very flexible; many other mail clients support OpenPGP either directly (like KMail) or via add-ons / plugins (e.g. Thunderbird; with certain limitations even Outlook).

У KMail передбачено доволі широку підтримку криптографічного стандарту OpenPGP (шифрування та підписів); у KDE навіть є спеціальна програма для керування ключами OpenPGP та використання OpenPGP за межами обробки електронної пошти: KGpg. OpenPGP є вільним (як безкоштовне пиво і як вільна розмова) і дуже гнучким стандартом; у багатьох інших клієнтах електронної пошти передбачено або безпосередню підтримку OpenPGP (подібну до підтримки у KMail) або підтримку за допомогою додатків (як у Thunderbird та з певними обмеженнями навіть у Outlook).
