Message definition (Concepts/OpenPGP For Beginners)

Your OpenPGP application shows you the fingerprint of the key you got from an insecure source and you compare "what is" with "what it should be". If that is the same then you can be sure about the key itself. Thus: Always have small slips of paper with your fingerprint with you.

Ваша програма для роботи з OpenPGP покаже вам відбиток ключа, який ви отримали із якогось сумнівного джерела і ви зможете порівняти цей відбиток з еталонним. Якщо відбитки виявляться однаковими, ви можете бути певні щодо ідентичності ключа. Звідси висновок: завжди варто мати з собою папірці з надрукованим відбитком ключа.
