Schopností Amaroku pro překódování lze využít k vytažení zvuku z videosouborů při jejich kopírování či přesunu do sbírky. Prostě vyberte videosoubor(y) ve vestavěném prohlížeči souborů Amaroku, klepněte pravým tlačítkem myši a vyberte Zkopírovat do sbírky. Objeví se běžný dialog pro převádění skladeb. Zvolte jeden z kodérů, stiskněte Převést a převádění začne.
