Introdução
Kdenlive é um acrônimo para KDE Non-Linear Video Editor. É um software livre (GPL licensed) dirigido principalmente para a plataforma GNU-Linux. ELe também funciona no BSD [1] e MacOS, uma vez que se baseia apenas em componentes portáteis (Qt e MLT framework).
Edição de vídeo não-linear é muito mais poderoso do que editores simples (lineares), portanto, requer um pouco mais de organização antes de começar. No entanto, não é reservado a especialistas e pode ser usado para pequenos projetos pessoais.
Através do framework MLT, o 'Kdenlive' integra muitos efeitos de plugin para processamento ou criação de vídeo e som. Além disso, o 'Kdenlive' traz uma poderosa ferramenta de criação de títulos, uma solução de autoria de DVD (menus), e pode então ser usada como um estúdio completo para criação de vídeo.
