Giriş
Kdenlive, KDE Non-Linear Video Editor (KDE Doğrusal Olmayan Video Düzenleyici) kelimelerinin kısaltılmışıdır. Öncelikle Linux platformu için amaçlanmış (GPL lisanslı) ücretsiz bir yazılımdır. Ayrıca BSD[1] ve MacOS işletim sistemlerinde de sadece (Qt ve MLT çalışma çerçevelerine bağlı taşınabilir bileşenlerden oluştuğundan) çalışabilir.
Doğrusal olmayan video düzenleyici' başlangıçların (doğrusal) düzenleyicilerinden çok daha başarılıdır. Bundan dolayı başlamadan önce daha fazla düzenleme gereklidir. Ancak sadece uzman kullanımı için ayrılmamıştır ve küçük kişisel projeler için de kullanılabilir.
Through the MLT framework, Kdenlive integrates many plugin effects for video and sound processing or creation. Furthermore Kdenlive brings a powerful titling tool, a DVD authoring (menus) solution, and can then be used as a complete studio for video creation.
