Editing Hints

You seem to be finding your way around now, but there are one or two things that need attention. I have to go out soon, but I'll talk you through them when I get back. The first thing I want to point out, though, is about Categories. In the Category statement the word 'Category' is a system one, so must not be translated, so you need something like [[Category:Memulai/id]].

To ensure consistency we have some tables of category names. I've added a new column to so that you can define suitable translations for all the categories. Please use '/id' at the end of every translated category-name. You'll see that some of the others on that page use the older _(language-code), but they will need to be changed when we update the page. '/id' is the correct one to use now.

We expect to need to help you get started, so don't worry at all. We'll talk to you again shortly.

You will have noticed that you have a number of "red links" on your translated pages. I have added information in that should help you solve most of those. If you are left with some that don't fit those categories, just ask.

Translation changed English page

I'm sorry to tell you that I have had to revert your translation, because you actually edited the English page. I'm sure that that was not your intention, so may I direct you to the How-To? Start by reading the general information on Tasks and Tools, then follow the link to Translate a Page to read how to set up your translator account and start work. If you have any questions, please ask.

Sorry Anne..I had difficulties navigating the Userbase. I followed the [Tasks and Tools] and *might* have requested myself added to the translators group. I clicked the Edit tab on the top, then I had this window with the field where ...I put my name and language on..and then saved the page. Nothing happened. Did I made a mistake (again)? Have I been added to the translator group or not?

You are now added. It isn't automatic, so you post your request, and we pick it up and add you to the group, but time-zones can introduce a delay :-)
