Puoi utilizzare kmail e gpg per inviare messaggi di posta cifrati o firmati digitalmente. Per farlo ci sono i pulsanti "firma" e "cifra" nella finestra di composizione di kmail che compare se fai clic su File -> Nuovo -> Nuovo messaggio.
