In 2009 the KWord developer, Thomas Zander, had the idea that application manuals could be written on '''UserBase'''. Perhaps he was a little before his time, or perhaps the idea of developing from an older version to a new one, where the change from KDE 3.x to 4.x was embraced, was just too big a step, but it was a foreshadow of things to come. 2010 saw the first manuals being developed on '''UserBase'''.

Nel 2009 Thomas Zander, lo sviluppatore di KWord, ha ipotizzato che i manuali delle applicazioni potessero essere scritti su UserBase. Forse era ancora un po' presto o forse l'idea di passare da una vecchia versione ad una nuova, mentre si era impegnati nel passaggio da KDE 3.x a 4.x, era semplicemente un passo troppo grande, ma prefigurò il passaggio successivo. Il 2010 ha visto lo sviluppo dei primi manuali su UserBase.
