Message definition (Digikam/Soft Proofing)

To enable soft proofing, open the photo you want for editing and choose <menuchoice>View -> Soft Proofing Options</menuchoice>. Select the downloaded .icc color profile from the <menuchoice>Profile of the output device to simulate</menuchoice> drop-down list, then select the desired item from the <menuchoice>Rendering intent</menuchoice> drop-down list. This should generally be ''Relative Colorimetric'', but if your printer supports only a limited gamut you may want to try the ''Perceptual'' rendering intent instead. Enable then the <menuchoice>Highlight out-of-gamut colors</menuchoice> option and select the highlighting color you want. Finally, enable soft proofing by pressing the <menuchoice>Soft Proofing On</menuchoice> button, and you should see the photo exactly as it would appear in print.

Per habilitar les provatures, obriu la foto que voleu per a l'edició i escolliu Visualitza -> Opcions de provatura. Seleccioneu el perfil de color .icc descarregat des de la llista desplegable Perfil del dispositiu de sortida a simular, després seleccioneu l'element desitjat des del la llista desplegable Propòsit de renderització. Generalment aquest hauria de ser Colorimètric relatiu, però si la impressora només és compatible amb una gamma limitada possiblement voldreu provar el renderitzat Perceptiu en el seu lloc. Activeu després l'opció Ressaltat fora de la gamma de colors i seleccioneu el color de ressaltat que voleu. Finalment, activeu les provatures prement el botó Provatura activada, i hauríeu de veure la foto tal com apareixeria en la impressió.
