The usage of cryptography for private communication will probably seriously increase only if public presence of this subject at a certain level can be created and sustained over a long time (i.e. years). If users see messages like "We support email encryption" and "Here you can find information about how to use email encryption" in more and more places then many of them should stop regarding this as some geek technology without any relevance to them and start believing this is something "normal", something which many people have at least some knowledge about.

L'ús de la criptografia per a la comunicació privada probablement només s'incrementarà seriosament si la presència pública sobre aquest tema en un cert nivell es pot crear i sostindre durant molt de temps (és a dir, anys). Si els usuaris veuen missatges com «Donem suport l'encriptatge del correu electrònic» i «Aquí podeu trobar informació sobre com utilitzar l'encriptatge del correu electrònic» en més i més llocs, llavors molts deixaran de considerar-ho com una tecnologia «friki», sense cap rellevància per a ells, i començarà a creure que es tracta de quelcom «normal», una cosa sobre la que moltes persones almenys tenen algun coneixement.
