At this point you should have noticed something important. ''Both contrast and brightness controls can clip the histogram and cause information loss!'' Now look at the gamma adjustment. I pushed <menuchoice>Brightness</menuchoice> even further than the first tool, and still, the image wasn't clipped. What did the gamma tool do?

A questo punto dovresti aver notato alcune cose importanti. Sia il controllo del contrasto che della luminosità possono rovinare l'istogramma e causare perdita di informazioni! Ora guarda la regolazione della gamma. Ho spinto la luminosità anche oltre rispetto al primo strumento e, nuovamente, l'immagine non era rovinata. Cosa ha fatto lo strumento gamma?
