Descrizione
Gli obiettivi di Kopete sono offrire agli utenti un'interfaccia standard e facile da utilizzare per tutti i loro sistemi di messaggistica istantanea, ma contemporaneamente offrire agli sviluppatori la possibilità di programmare facilmente plugin per supportare un nuovo protocollo.
Tutti i protocolli sono implementati tramite plugin e questo consente un'installazione, configurazione ed utilizzo modulare, senza necessità per l'applicazione principale di conoscere i plugin caricati.
