The Tools Menu contains commands for various utilities and tools within the application.

The commands offered are:

Locate: Activates the KEXI's global Locate tool.
Compact Database: Compacts (defragments) the currently open file-based project to reduce its disk space usage. This command is not applicable to server-based projects.

Note

Compacting the database helps maintain its performance, especially after extensive record operations (e.g., mass additions or deletions).
