KWin pronunciation = completely unhelpful

> KWin (pronounced "kwin")

kwin is pronounced kwin? What? That is completely unhelpful.

It should say: KWin (pronounced "k-win") or KWin (pronounced "qwin")

Due to the way it is written I am still not sure which one it is. It should be written in a way that makes it clear, right now it is just redundant and unhelpful.

Thanks for pointing this out. I am reasonably confident that absent the hyphen, the one syllable option is intended (ie. "qwin"). The other option never even occured to me. Just to be sure, I shall try to contact the original author and then add a clarification.

Is it possible to tell KWin to (temporarily) switch to outline during manual window resize (à la twm), and stop sending interim resize events to the client?

Windows are resized by pressing the right titlebutton (which resembles a group of nested squares), dragging the pointer over edge that is to be moved, and releasing the pointer when the outline of the window is the desired size.

Yes, and the option is in the "Moving" page of KWin's settings panels. "Display content in resizing windows".
