This page hasn't changed since 2010. It has become obsolete. Qsynth does not connect to jack, rather it tries to create a jack server. Maybe fluidsynth worked a decade ago. QjackCtl now controls jack. None of the applications listed herein are aware of QjackCtl.

- /etc/rc.d/rc.pulseaudio stop or killall -9 pulseaudio
- QJackCtl - Start
- QjackCtl - Run
- Open jack-aware MIDI application (VCV Rack, for example)
