Krita fait partie de la suite Calligra. Il contient à la fois des fonctionnalités amusantes et simples à utilsées comme la peinture guidée (il n'a jamais été aussi facile de faire une ligne droite à l'aérographe !) et des fonctionnalités avancées comme le support des images 16 bits, CMYK, L*a*b et même les images OpenEXR HDR.
