There are three "start menu" style Plasma application launchers in the KDE project:
- Kickoff which is the current default application launcher,
- Lancelot which is available for download now and will be included in KDE 4.2, and
- Raptor which is still under development.
In addition to this KRunner, which replaces the "run command" dialogue, blurs the lines between desktop search, application launcher and command executor and provides a quick way to run applications or open documents.
