在浏览器中聊天

解惑最好的一个办法是问其他使用者。IRC（Internet Relay Chat的缩写，“因特网中继聊天”）就是拿来干这个的。参与其中，可以帮到自己也能帮到别人。加入 KDE 聊天，这样做，

网页浏览器打开 https://web.libera.chat/

选择昵称，然后登录

选择频道, 输入 #kde（英文）或#kde-cn（简体中文）或#你建立的频道名

输入防垃圾机器人的验证码

点击 Connect

于是，你便有机会与整个 #kde 或 #kde-cn 频道的成员对话。

全部频道列表在这里。要加入另外一个频道（比如说 fedora），输入

/join #fedora-kde

如果你想获得比浏览器更多的可配置性，你可以改用 IRC 程序登录进去，比如Quassel 或Konversation。

设置Konversation

Konversation是你所见过的最容易设置的应用程序之一。大多数设置都有很好的默认值，所以你只需要做：

在你的菜单中找到Konversation并启动它。

已经列出了一个Libera聊天服务器的地址

点击连接

在屏幕左下方的小方框中输入你想成为你的用户名的名字。如果它还没有被使用，在会话中它就是你。

在聊天窗口底下的长框是你输入你的所有文字的地方，所以最开始你需要加入一个频道。然后回车。例如，/join #mageia-kde 或/join #kde-es如果你想要与意大利的KDE用户交流。

In the Settings menu there are a few very useful ones to consider:

Identities - there you can set the name that you prefer to use. It is wise to have a couple of variations (most people add an underscore at the end of their name, for instance, as a second choice) so that if your name is in use, Konversation will fall back to the second choice. You need not set anything in the other two tabs on that page.

Configure Notifications - choose a flashing taskbar, a sound, or "Mark taskbar entry" which colours the tab for the things you most need to be aware of. I would suggest these as your starting list:
- Query (someone wants to have a private conversation with you)
- Nickname written

You can add others later if you find them useful.
