Need admin approval: Akonadi EWS

Have encountered this as a blocking issue when attempting to connect Kmail to a corporately controlled Microsoft 365 ( formerly Office 365 ) account for email

Appearance

When stepping through the EWS based configuration of Kmail, after completing the browser window authentication fo your account, in that same browser window, you are presented with the following failure message:

Need admin approval

LOGO Akonadi EWS

Akonadi EWS needs permission to access resources in your organization that only an admin can grant. Please ask an admin to grant permission to this app before you can use it.

Have an admin account? Sign in with that account

Return to the application without granting consent

Unfortunately, I can't help with your problem, and UserBase is not a good place to ask about this kind of problem - the chance that someone other than editors like me will see your question is small.
