Konsole是KDE平臺上的X終端模擬器，便於用戶使用命令列。除了提供使用強大shell的方法外，Konsole同樣提供很多能讓命令列操作便利和愉快的功能，比如配置檔案管理，回滾和配色方案，以及半透明效果。

Konsole同時提供一個嵌入式的 KPart終端，他被整合到Yakuake， Dolphin和Kate等程式中,在使用者操作命令列時提供給使用者一個統一相似的介面。

語言

在Konsole裡，你能切換語言到純英語環境（比如為了查看某些bug訊息），輸入下列命令:

快捷鍵

切換標籤: SHIFT+左, SHIFT+右 (不像X-Chat, Firefox, Quanta, Kdevelop)。

附注

Quanta和Kdevelop用的是ALT+左, ALT+右。但是，SHIFT+方向鍵好處是能在幾乎所有鍵盤佈局上單手搞定，因為有時候某些鍵盤上只在左側有ALT按鍵(比如德文鍵盤)

新建標籤: SHIFT+CRTL+N.

標籤的配置

If you regularly use a lot of tabs, you'll sometimes find it convenient to label them. Just double-click on the tab and you'll get a re-name dialogue.

設定檔案管理

新建新的設定檔設定-> 管理設定檔 -> 新建設定檔
在一般分頁，隨你喜歡可以輸入新的配置文件名和修改圖標。
如果要成為root用戶的konsole，鍵入命令
```
/bin/su -
```

提示

上面的命令在採用sudo的發行版本上是無效的（比如Ubuntu）。在那些發行版本請使用:

sudo su

或只要預先在所有需要超級用戶權限的命令前加sudo。

在管理配置文件對話框，你能添加或刪除一個勾，這決定配置檔案是否在檔案菜單中顯示。
