L'espai de treball i les aplicacions individuals coneixen els diferents tipus de fitxers pel seu tipus de fitxer. Això és el que permet gestionar els diferents tipus de fitxers de forma adequada. Aquest diàleg de configuració us permet configurar la forma en que és tractat qualsevol tipus de fitxer conegut. També us permet definir nous tipus de fitxers, o modificar la forma com és reconegut un tipus conegut.

De forma alternativa, podeu configurar un tipus de fitxer en el Dolphin mitjançant un dels 3 mètodes per a canviar les associacions de fitxer.

Configurar els tipus de fitxer coneguts

A la llista a la part esquerra de la finestra es troba una eina de cerca i una llista de tots els tipus de fitxer coneguts recollits en una sèrie de grups. Per trobar un tipus de fitxer escriviu part del seu nom de tipus de fitxer o patró del nom de fitxer en la línia d'entrada a la part superior.

Nota

Si esteu cercant un tipus de fitxer en funció del nom de la seva extensió de fitxer, potser haureu d'entrar el caràcter de punt de forma explícita. Per exemple, per trobar el tipus de fitxer pel fitxer, quan el nom acaba en «.c» (els fitxers de codi font pel llenguatge de programació c), escriviu *.c o fins i tot .c però no *c. En aquest context l'asterisc («*») no actua com un caràcter de comodí.

També podeu navegar per la llista dels tipus de fitxer. Només expandiu la categoria corresponent, i aneu per la llista de tipus de fitxer que apareixen. Tot i que alguna d'aquestes llistes és molt llarga.

Per modificar un tipus de fitxer, cerqueu a la llista de tipus de fitxer i feu clic en el seu nom. Ara podreu veure dues pestanyes a la part dreta del diàleg.

A la pestanya General, podeu canviar la icona associada a aquest tipus de fitxer fent clic al botó amb icona a la part superior esquerra de la pestanya. Podeu afegir o eliminar els patrons de nom de fitxer en la llista Patrons de fitxer, de manera que defineix els fitxers que es reconeixen amb aquest tipus. La llista Ordre de preferència d'aplicació a la part inferior de la pestanya llista les aplicacions que es mostraran en el menú contextual, en fer clic en un fitxer d'aquest tipus. La primera aplicació en la llista és la que s'utilitza quan es fa clic al fitxer.

Les opcions a la pestanya Incrustat afecta a com és manejat el tipus de fitxer per Konqueror, quan s'utilitza com un gestor de fitxers.

Afegir nous tipus de fitxer localment

Per afegir un nou tipus de fitxer, feu clic al botó Afegeix... a sota de la llista de tipus d'arxiu al costat esquerre de la finestra. Aquest obre un diàleg on podeu seleccionar un grup des de la llista desplegable Grup i escriviu un nom en el camp de text Nom de tipus. A continuació, feu clic al botó Bé per a crear el nou tipus de fitxer.

Nota

Podríeu necessitar anar al final de la llista de fitxers en el grup per trobar el vostre nou tipus de fitxer.
